What makes this lap steel special: A wonderful piece of Rickenbacker history, this all metal lap steel is a very simple design, with horseshoe pickup & master volume control. It offers a rich tone & is tons of fun to play. Vintage chipboard case included.
Cosmetic Condition: Various scratches, finish wear, dents & dings throughout the lap steel. The finish has developed a nice patina giving it an authentic vintage look.
Body: Guitar shaped metal body in white crinkle finish faded to an off-white/tan color. Black Bakelite bridge, horseshoe single-coil pickup and a single plastic control knob. The steel weighs 6 lbs 8.6 oz.
Neck: Square metal neck with raised frets, black dot inlays and a 2” plastic nut. Three-on-a-strip nickel tuners with ebanoid buttons, 22.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-coil pickup with master volume control.
Playability/Sound: This is a great sounding lap steel. The pickup is very bright yet transparent and provides plenty of twang. The hollow metal body adds attack to the notes with a nice open sound.
