Description

Condition: This is a unique sounding Dobro with plenty of character to its sound. There are plenty of scratches and dents throughout the instrument, some of which are fairly large. Our luthier fixed the neck angle as it previously had very high action. The action is now very comfortable up and down the neck. The cone is in good overall shape but may need to be replaced at some point to bring out the instruments full potential. An output jack and pickup have been added. Truss rod cover is missing. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. There is a very small crack at the bottom of the fingerboard and the finish throughout the neck and headstock has plenty of checking and finish chips. Truss rod cover is missing. All parts are in good working condition.

Body: Metal body finished in chrome with a great floral pattern throughout the top and back. Chrome tailpiece, cover plate, resonator cone with biscuit style bridge and dual “F’ holes on either shoulder. This model does not have a sound well.

Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with rich, dark rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 13/16” nut. The tuners are all the same model however the d and a strings pegs are longer so they may have been replaced. 24.5” scale length.

Pickups/Electronics: There is a pickup connected to the underside of the bridge saddle. This is a passive pickup designed without any controls, just an input jack.

Weight: 9lbs, 2.0oz.

Playability/Sound: This resonator has a very unique and distinct sound that you simply won’t find with newer models. The guitar is set up with action ideal for anything from fingerstyle and chords to slide guitar.

Case: Includes a hardshell case.
