Description
Condition: This is a very rare model Ibanez midi guitar in very good cosmetic shape for being 27 years old! There are some light surface scratches and small nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier wear in the middle and lower registers. The neck is very straight and the truss rod functions fine. We tried connecting this guitar to an interface to test the electronics. The magnetic pickups and controls work fine. We were unable to get any output from the midi controls however the interface did show it was getting some signal when we turned the velocity control. We cannot determine whether the midi controls are fully functional so we are selling this guitar with that information disclosed. The midi cables are not included.
Body: Solid body with beveled edges and leg contour for comfort in a metallic silver finish. Ibanez vibrato locking bridge with tuners and vibrato arm, plastic control knobs with label sheet still intact and a black plastic back cover plate with access to internal trim pots. The vibrato arm is only designed to work with the midi controls.
Neck: Bolt-on neck with Ebony fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. The headstock features a locking mechanism for the strings.
Pickups/Electronics: Ibanez humbuckers in the neck and bridge with master volume control, master tone control and a 3-way selector switch. Midi controls include sensitivity, velocity, ctl change, balancer, and a 3-way mode selector switch.
Weight: 9lbs, 10.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a very unique guitar that has become more rare over the years. We cannot say that the midi controls all function, but they may with the proper interface. The humbuckers offer plenty of output and sound excellent on their own.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
