Description
What makes this guitar special: Distinguished by the sleek double cutaway body shape which is arched on the top and back resulting in a fairly light guitar with thin edges. The 540S features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 22-fret rosewood fretboard. It has two IBZ/USA single coils made by DiMarzio which Ibanez describes as "vertical humbucking" pickups in the middle & neck positions along with a Bartolini humbucker mounted in the bridge position. Components include a double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
Cosmetic Condition: Used with typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some scuff marks in the finish. There are a couple of small stress cracks on either side of the neck pocket. These are purely superficial, cosmetic finish cracks & not structural.
Neck: Flat, wide profile, one-piece maple Wizard neck with dark rosewood fingerboard & pearloid dot inlays. 22 jumbo frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Made in Japan Gotoh tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" locking nut; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
