Description
What makes this guitar special: This guitar delivers exactly what the contemporary flatpicking artist needs: substantial treble and midrange for rapid single-line lead, clean note separation for definition and the traditional bass boom without the woofy bottom end of some of the venerable Pre-war dreadnoughts. Master grade Indian Rosewood and old Sitka Spruce give this instrument a professional presence at an attainable price. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape overall, but does show signs of play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. There's a tiny gap between the neck heel & body, but it's pretty minor with no movement & doesn't affect playability. Overall the guitar looks cool & has been broken in nicely, delivering a rich, beautiful tone.
Neck: Rounded mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl Santa Cruz inlay in the 12th & 13th frets. Frets show some light wear, but are in great shape overall with tons of life in them. Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay. Vintage-style nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Solid sitka spruce top with ivoroid binding & herringbone purfling. Ebony bridge & end pins with mother of pearl dot inlays. Tortoise pickguard & herringbone rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with ivoroid binding & zipper back strip. There is no pickup. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 6 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
