What makes this guitar special: This wonderful, Special Edition J-200 was part of Gibson's International Collector Series & features a gorgeous Koa back & sides in sunburst finish. This one is number 35 in a limited production number of only 36. The combination of spruce & koa produces a warm, rich tone, and the jumbo body ensures massive sound projection. Professionally set up by with fresh strings & low action, so she's ready to please straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall with signs of light to moderate play wear - various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild weather checking. There are lacquer cracks/chatter marks on the back of the neck, but these are purely cosmetic & there are no cracks in the guitar.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl/abalone crown inlays. Frets are in great shape with very little wear & plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with gold truss rod cover. The cover still has the plastic wrap over it. The gold plaque on the back is engraved with International Collector Series November 1993. Gold Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Jumbo body with solid spruce top & 6-ply binding. Rosewood mustache bridge with mother of pearl/abalone block inlays. Cream end pins with abalone dot inlays. Large tortoise pickguard with floral motif & multi-ring rosette. Solid Koa sides & back with 3-ply binding & geometric center strip. The back is beautifully book matched & shows off some really pretty flame figuring. There is no pickup & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 9.6 oz.
