Description

What makes this guitar special: An ultra-resonant player’s piece, finished in a glossy wine red, with a slick and great playing rosewood fingerboard. No-nonsense is the term best applied to Studio models, and this one is no exception-no frills, no over-the-top binding or flame work, just the iconic Les Paul sound, wrapped up in a solid mahogany body with a solid mahogany neck. It plays like a dream too, with effortless maneuverability up and down the length of the fingerboard. Plus, it comes professionally setup by our in-house master luthier, ready to play the moment it hits your doorstep.

Cosmetic condition: All kinds of real deal, authentic player’s wear-various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips, and scuffs, along with some buckle rash and finish checking on the headstock. The clear coat has flattened in a few spots on the back, and the edges show the worst of the wear, as seen in the photos. The pickups have also been changed, and the originals are not included. The upper volume pot protrudes a little more from the top than the rest of the others, but is original. The bridge pickup bezel is also cracked.

Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap in wine red finish with tan colored pickguard, Tune-O-Matic bridge, and chrome stopbar tailpiece.

Weight: 9 lb, 3 oz

Neck: Nicely rounded medium profile mahogany neck with aged white side dots and mother-of-pearl inlays. Beautifully variegated rosewood fingerboard shows almost no wear at all, and while frets show some light wear they still have a ton of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Replacement Grover Deluxe vintage style tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.

Electronics: Upgraded Seymour Duncan Vintage Blues SH-1 humbuckers (Bridge-8.04K ohms, Neck-7.48K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and black speed knobs, 2x volume, 2x tone. Pots date to ’94 and all electronics are fully functional.

Case: Unoriginal hard shell case included. Case has a few stickers on it and shows a little wear but still does the job fine.
