Description

What makes this guitar special: One of the last Guild’s built in Westerly, this JF-30, serial # AJ302162 falls right at the tail end of ’97 before Fender moved production to Corona. It’s been well-loved and well-played, and for good reason. The solid wood construction has opened up beautifully, providing excellent balance and resonance. Professionally setup by the experts at Cream City Music, it’ll arrive ready to play out of the case.

Cosmetic condition: Used but not abused, with some standard wear & tear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, with several areas of finish checking. There is some finish wear and shrinkage along the fingerboard, and the back of the body shows a fair amount of buckle rash. The body shows a smattering of chips in the clear coat as well, along with visible pickwear on the top. There is some non-structural cracking in the finish along the seam on the back of the neck near the headstock (see photo).

Body: Double bound solid maple sides with solid spruce top and arched maple back in black finish. Single ply black pickguard and rosewood bridge with white bridge pins. The saddle has been taken down quite a bit, but still has some room left on it. Multi-ring ivoroid rosette and black/white purfling. 17” lower bout width, 4 7/8” depth.

Weight: 5 lb, 12.4 oz

Neck: D-shaped maple neck with pearl side dots and pearl dots inlays. Black headstock overlay with pearl Guild logo and scepter. Fender logo on the back of the headstock. Gold Grover tuners work great. 1 3/4" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
