Description

What makes this guitar special: A since discontinued model, loaded with beautiful appointments and premium playability. This jumbo model projects like a cannon, with a robust and full sound that holds its tonal balance, even at high volumes. This one was somebody’s workhorse, and showcases wear consistent with being an everyday player and road warrior. It has an added active preamp with adjustable EQ for onstage performance, which sound absolutely terrific plugged in. These don’t come up for sale often, and very seldom at this price point-so snap this one up today and rest assured, it’s been professionally setup and inspected by Cream City Music’s expert in house luthiers.

Cosmetic condition: A true road warrior, with various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, scuffs, and areas of finish wear throughout. There are a handful of small repaired cracks near the bottom of the guitar, and a large repaired crack on the back of the body. The top shows ample pickwear and some unorthodox finish wear behind the bridge, suggesting some kind of solvent came into contact with the clear coat. The pickguard is a replacement, the truss rod cover is missing, and one of the inner back braces is missing. The clear coat has worn away on much of the binding, and some of the headstock overlay has chipped away. Holes have been drilled to accommodate the preamp controls. Overall, this beauty has a super cool player’s vibe, with a great honest look.

Body: Double bound solid rosewood back and sideswith solid sitka spruce top in natural finish. Ebony bridge with white bridge pins and bone saddles. Replacement black pickguard and two-stripe ivoroid purfling. Multi-ring ivoroid/abalone rosette. Lower bout width measures 17” with 5” depth, upper bout width measures 12 1/2" with 4 1/4" depth.

Weight: 6 lb, 4.6 oz

Neck: Tapered C-shaped mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard. Black side dots and pearl block inlays with inset abalone triangles. Bound headstock with pearl Guild logo and shield. Gold Grover tuners function perfectly. Frets show some wear, but still have life left in them. 1 3/4" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod is functioning.

Electronics: Aftermarket under-saddle pickup with active preamp and adjustable volume/tone.

Case: Unoriginal hard shell case included. The outside of the case shows plenty of wear and tear, but the interior is in great shape and serves its purpose well.
