Description

What makes this guitar special:  A drop dead gorgeous flame top in cherry finish, this stunning 1960 Classic is a real head turner.  With a super smooth slip taper neck & a pair of monstrous sounding Alnico humbuckers, she's ready for action straight out of the case!

Cosmetic Condition:  A few minor bumps & bruises; surface scratches & worn hardware.  The bridge pickup bezel has a small chip in it that was glued & there's a tiny crack in the pickguard.  Three of the four control knobs have tiny internal cracks that are purely cosmetic & cannot be felt.  Overall the guitar looks great & plays like a charm.

Neck:  Slim taper mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots.  Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays.  Frets show very little wear & have plenty of life in them.  Gibson Deluxe tuners with "tulip" buttons are in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body:  Solid mahogany body with a brilliant flame maple cap & cream binding.  Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware.  Single-ply cream pickguard with 1960 logo & cream jackplate with tiny cracks near each screw.  Guitar weighs 9 1/2 lbs.

Pickups:  Gibson Alnico 498T & 490R humbuckers with exposed coils & cream bezels.  Bridge - 14.40K ohms; Neck - 8.28K ohms.  Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Gibson hardshell case included.
