What makes this guitar special: A magnificent player in superb condition! The flame figuring is absolutely stunning in both the top & back. The gold hardware set against the cherry sunburst finish really makes the guitar look sharp. The Supreme abalone headstock inlay & split-block fret markers round out the package. All in all, a truly marvelous Les Paul just looking for a new home - don't hesitate on this one; it won't last long!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with practically no wear. There is one thing to note, however - it appears the guitar was probably cased up most of its life. An indicator of this are the various dark spots on the guitar where it most likely chemically reacted to the black fabric of the case. Most notably on the lower portion of the back of the body & various spots along the body binding. They are not too glaring & are purely cosmetic imperfections, which do not affect playability or sound quality.
Neck: Slim taper profile mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl split-block inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Multi-bound headstock with abalone & mother of pearl "Supreme" inlay. Grover tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine. Gold Les Paul truss rod cover.
Body: Multi-bound mahogany body with flame maple arched top & back. Again, the flame figuring in the body is totally insane! Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 1.3 oz.
Pickups: Gibson USA humbuckers with gold covers & black bezels. Bridge - 13.46K ohms; Neck - 7.68K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with original paperwork. There is pretty good sized dent in the top of the case, but for the most part it's in great shape.
