Designed in close conjunction with Paul Yandell, Chet Atkins' rhythm guitarist, the G6122-1959 Country Gentleman precisely replicates the world's most famous '59 6122 model. Features include custom handmade pickups by TV Jones, a slightly wider neck, Bigsby vibrato tailpiece with both stationary and optional swivel arms. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds great!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition for being 10 years old! Very clean with only mild surface scratches.
Neck: Maple neck with white binding & red side-dots. 12" radius ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl thumbnail inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Bound headstock with Chet Atkins Country Gentleman gold plaque. Grover Imperial tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 3/4" nut width with zero fret; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, hollow maple body with simulated F-holes & multiple binding. There's some really nice flame figuring in the top & back of the body. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with two different handles included. Rocking Bar bridge on an ebony base. Gold plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo. Gold hardware. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 3.6 oz.
Pickups: TV Jones Super-Tron Classic neck humbucker & TV Jones Plus Ht bridge humbucker, both with gold bezels. Volume (bridge pickup), master tone & master volume. 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included, however, there is no COA.
