Description
What makes this guitar special: Started by Frantisek Furch who began building guitars in the Czech Republic back in 1981. His guitars were branded Stonebridge for the American market & offer many of the fine features found on similar high quality instruments. This gorgeous DS-33-SR is now part of the Vintage Line & features a solid spruce top along with solid rosewood back & sides. It has the look, feel & playability of a high end Martin or Taylor, but a signature voice that's all its own.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition & very clean with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck very similar in feel to a modern Martin low oval profile. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays & cream side-dots. Frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Ebony headstock overlay with abalone Stonebridge logo. Gotoh open-back tuners are in perfect working condition. 1.77" nut width; 25.563" scale length.
Body: Solid sitka spruce top with ivoroid binding & herringbone purfling. Ebony bridge & end pins with compensated saddle. Tortoise pickguard & herringbone rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with ivoroid binding & herringbone center strip. There is no pickup; guitar weighs 5 lbs 2.2 oz.
