Description
What makes this guitar special: As Brazilian OM’s go, this one is the cream of the crop. Built as a custom order, this thing is covered head-to-toe with Brazilian appointments just about everywhere imaginable. Perfectly bookmatched AAA-grade Brazilian back & sides showcase some of the most stunning variegation you can find, beautifully accented by Brazilian Rosewood body binding and an Italian Spruce top with a Brazilian rosette. The headstock overlay sports a Brazilian overlay and binding balanced against an abalone Torch inlay, and the ebony fingerboard is bound with-you guessed it-Brazilian Rosewood. Tonally-this guitar is about as close to perfection as you can get with an OM. The finish is so thin the pores of the wood are visible, allowing the wood to really open up and provide a full, unhindered sound. Crisp and clear definition across the entire tonal spectrum, with outstanding bass response and a balance that holds up beautifully to both fingerstyle and flat-picking. You won’t find another one of these any time soon-snap this beauty up today.
Cosmetic condition: Great overall shape! This one looks to have been somewhat scarcely played, and shows only some light wear in the clear coat on the back of the neck. Due to the highly variegated nature of the wood, there is a very small contained crack on the back of the body across one of the knots. The crack is placed directly between two braces, and has had glue applied from the inside by our in-house luthier to make sure it is completely secure. Above this crack there is also a second very thin surface crack. Beyond these, the body and fingerboard are in immaculate condition.
