Description

What makes this guitar special? As versatile as it is top notch aesthetically, this semi-hollow body Godin embraces a variety of design elements that give players a ton of tonal options with a great look to boot. It features an absolutely gorgeous AAA flame maple top, the figuring of which is wonderfully even on the lower bout, but seems to coalesce just under the strings, giving it a very distinct appearance, especially under its classy Lightburst finish. The most redeeming part of this build is its combination of pickups and overall electronic configuration since they provide a pretty solid expanse of tonal capabilities. The GJN1 humbucker is warm and sweet with a nice, full response, perfect for representing both a strong low end and smooth upper register. The piezos provide a more extensive reach, considering the preamp, 3-band EQ and mid-selector switch, giving players an intuitive set of controls to craft their sound with. Plus, it has the Synth Access output so if the standard electronics setup is getting old, you can plug into a guitar synth and have a myriad of tonal opportunities right at your fingertips thanks to the Program Up/Down buttons. In addition, it’s still in fantastic shape for a used guitar, comes with a professional setup, and it’s original hardshell case.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall, if not better. It does show various small nicks, dings, chips, and surface scratches, but is still in fantastic shape for a used guitar. It even has the original plastic on the back plates. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Single cutaway semi-hollow body with a silverleaf maple center, poplar wings, and a AAA-grade flame maple top in Lightburst finish. Strings-through-body bridge with adjustable gold piezo saddles. Gold satin knurled dome control knobs.

Neck: Slim to medium D shape silverleaf maple neck and ebony fingerboard with small side dot inlays. Black and gold open gear 3-per-side tuning machines with white pearloid buttons. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale.

Electronics: Godin GJN1 humbucker in the neck and custom RMC electronics (13 pin connector) for guitar synths. Piezo saddles w/ preamp and EQ. 1 x volume, 1 x treble, 1 x mid, 1 x bass, 1 x synth volume slider. 1 x program up and 1 x program down selector button. 1 x mid-selector switch. 13-pin is untested, but the magnetic pickup, piezos and controls all function perfectly. 1 x magnetic volume, 1 x magnetic tone control.

Weight: 8 lbs 1 oz

Playability/Sound: The neck is comfortable, easy to move around, and should be an easy transition for most medium-depth C and D shape players. The humbucker is warm and smooth and the piezos are the same, but have a much more expansive range with a 3-band EQ and midrange selector.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
