Description
Condition: This is a great example of the 514CE! There are some surface scratches throughout the body, pick scratches on the body and mainly the pickguard and a few tiny dings throughout the body, neck and headstock. The neck is very straight overall and the truss rod functions fine. There are no structural issues with this guitar. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound Grand Auditorium shaped body. Western Red Cedar top and Tropical Mahogany back and sides in natural finish. Ebony bridge with Tusq saddle, tortoise pickguard and an abalone rosette. The string sticker is still intact on the pickguard!
Neck: Tropical Mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 ¾” Tusq nut. Taylor tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Taylor Expression System Electronics with controls for volume, treble and bass.
Weight: 4lbs, 8.4oz.
Playability/Sound: The combination of the Western Red Cedar top and Tropical Mahogany back and sides creates a warm sound that has an open yet pronounced midrange. The warmth makes it ideal for strumming yet the defined highs make it suitable for lead playing as well.
