What makes this guitar special: Built to the specifications of acclaimed British guitarist Guthrie Govan, the USA built Guthrie Govan signature is loaded with premium appointments. The top on this piece is about as spectacular as they come, a stunning birdseye with amazing variegation and depth. The solid ash body balances nicely against the roasted flame maple neck, which plays like an absolute dream with a slim, rounded profile. In addition to the stock Floyd Rose bridge (equipped with Tremol-No) and HSH configuration, a previous owner also had a Roland GK-3 professionally installed, for an added layer of synthesized versatility and possibility. With all these bells & whistles, you’re sure to be playing this one for hours. Professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, it will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great overall condition, with only some surface scratches and marks from handling throughout, along with minor tarnishing on the hardware. A previous owner mounted a Roland GK-3 pickup in front of the bridge, and holes have been drilled for this. The original mounting nut for the Roland unit is not included, and there is some scratching on the mounting bracket as well.
Body: Contoured double cutaway solid ash body in natural finish with birdseye maple top. Original style Floyd Rose NOS bridge equipped with Tremol-No.
Weight: 7 lb, 6.5 oz
Neck: Slim rounded roasted flame maple neck with roasted maple fingerboard. White side dots and maple dot inlays with black borders. 1.687” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Locking Sperzel tuners work great. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.
Electronics: Charvel MFB pickups in HSH configuration (Neck-10.21k ohms, Middle-3.97k ohms, Bridge-14.32k ohms) with 5-way switch and knurled chrome knobs, 1x volume, 1x tone. Added Roland GK-3 divided pickup with 13-pin output. Roland unit appears to be in good shape, but has not been tested. We cannot guarantee it’s functionality.
