What makes this guitar special: This nicely upgraded American Special has a pair of Vintage Noiseless single coils added to complement the Atomic humbucker in the bridge, for a variety of sound combinations and smoother tonal offerings than the original Texas Specials. The original pickguard has also been upgraded to a charcoal spackled one, giving this guitar a cool look with plenty of flair! The satin finished neck is quick and smooth, allowing effortless maneuverability up and down the length of the rosewood board. This piece comes professionally setup by our in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Excellent shape-a few surface and playwear scratches present, along with some pickwear on the pickguard. The single coil pickups have been changed, and the pickguard has also been replaced. There is also some light discoloration where the arm rests on the bass side of the lower bout.
Body: Contoured solid alder body in Olympic White finish with 3-ply charcoal spackled pickguard and 6-screw tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles.

Neck: Nicely rounded satin finished maple neck with skunk stripe, white side dots, and white dot inlays. Rosewood fingerboard is in great shape and showcases plenty of lovely variegation. Frets are in great shape too, with only minimal wear and a ton of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. 9 1/2” fingerboard radius. Chrome sealed Fender tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.
Electronics: Atomic Humbucker in the bridge position with dual Vintage Noiseless single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions. 5-way pickup selector switch and black skirted knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume.
Case: Fender hard shell case included. Middle latch of the case is broken, but case still does the job fine and holds closed without any issues.
