The flame figuring on the back of the neck & body is absolutely astounding! The wide-grain spruce top hearkens back to the highly sought-after vintage mandolins of Gibson's golden age. But truly the sound of this gorgeous F-Style is what immediately captures the attention - a massive tone with huge sound projection.
Cosmetic Condition: Very clean & like new with only a few minor nicks & dings; mild surface scratches.
Neck: V-shaped flamed maple neck with white side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Mother of pearl The Gibson & Flowerpot headstock inlays. Open-back strip tuners with pearloid buttons in perfect working condition. 1 1/16" nut width; 14" scale length.
Body: Carved solid spruce top in Cremona Sunburst finish with 3-ply binding & dual F-holes. Tuned parallel tone bar; Gibson-engraved nickel tailpiece; compensated rosewood bridge. Carved solid maple back and sides with stunning flame figuring. Lacquer finish. Mandolin weighs 2 lbs 2.8 oz.
