Description
Cosmetic Condition: This is a brand new Hofner bass that we had custom finished in a burgundy color & given a light "relic" treatment. The hardware & plastic parts have been purposely "aged" along with the finish in order to give the appearance of a vintage bass - very similar to what Fender does in their Custom Shop. The bass has been professionally set up by us with a fresh pack of strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!
Neck: '62 profile maple neck with beautiful rosewood fingerboard & pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in perfect condition. Strip tuners with pearloid buttons in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Violin-shaped hollow body with 4-ply binding on the top & back. German spruce top with flame maple back & sides. Nickel trapeze tailpiece with adjustable ebony bridge & pearloid pickguard. Bass weighs just under 5 lbs - super light & very resonant!
Pickups: Hofner "staple" pickups with black bezels. Dual "tea cup" volume knobs & three selector switches - all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
