Description

Here is another rather unusual guitar we got in directly from Gretsch as a “New Old Stock” B-stock guitar. This is the now sought after G3161 Historic Streamliner hollow body in orange. This guitar is in nearly mint perfect condition and shows absolutely no signs that it’s been played or demoed. The finish on the headstock looks a little bit cloudy and there is a small split in the finish near the heaststock bewteen the neck and the fretboard. The guitar is solid and there are no structural, mechanical or electrical issues whatsoever. We’re assuming that the headstock blemish is why it never shipped back when it was manufactured (early 2000’s). The split in the finish is likely due to the age of the guitar and the rigidity of urethane. This is a great little thin hollowbody guitar with excellent playability, balance and fantastic style. The neck has bit slimmer, flatter "C" shape as compared to the modern Electromatic models. The guiar is also very lightweight at about 6.5 lbs. This is a rare opportunity to pick one of these models up in essentially new condition complete with Gresch hard case and warranty.
