This is the limited edition G9202 "Honey Dipper" Round-Neck resonator in Oxblood finish. The “Special” model “Honey Dipper” adds a limited edition finish as well as a bound headstock and neck to the design. The Roots Series resonator guitars are some of the best values we've seen in this genre. Their modest price belies their great tone and excellent playability. The "Honey Dipper" models features a genuine bell brass body and biscuit bridge which gives them a great punchy tone with a ton of projection and volume. The biscuit bridge sound is a little more “rounded” then the Spider Cone offering increased volume and dynamic range especially in the mid range frequencies. Players looking for the classic Delta Blues sound will generally go for a resonator with a biscuit bridge. We are a long standing fully authorized independent Gretsch guitar dealer. Add some color to your sound with the limited-release G9202 Honey Dipper Special. This round-neck resonator guitar has all the same features as the wildly popular G9201 Honey Dipper, with the additions of aged white fingerboard binding, screened headstock graphic and "Oxblood" finish.
The vital feature of all Gretsch resonator guitars is the all-new Gretsch "Ampli-Sonic" diaphragm (resonator cone). Hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99-percent pure aluminum, the Ampli-Sonic diaphragm yields an impressive quality and volume of tone.
