The Filter'Tron is an instantly recognizable classic used many Gretsch model guitars dating back to the 1950's. The FilterTron sound is clean and clear with excellent note definition and midrange articulation. It's a perfect pickup for clean fingerstyle playing but can hand a fair amount of gain as well. A filtertron sounds terrific with a nice 50's style tube cranked up 'til it barks. This pickup is a perfect replacement for an older Gretsch models and many others. This pickup would also make a great replacement pickup in the neck position for any guitar with a humbucker sized pickup cavity. This is a brand new item that is in stock and ready to ship!
