33021/18 Here for sale is the standard series Martin D-18. One of the preeminent workhorses in the history of the steel string guitar, the basic design of the D-18 dreadnought has not changed in over 70 years. Spruce top, mahogany back, sides & neck, 25.4" scale length and a 1 11/6" nut width is the recipe. A few modern improvements like an adjustable truss rod insure that a new D-18 won't require the maintenance that the originals did. The tone is timeless and can be found on thousands of recordings of all types. The non scalloped bracing gives it a pronounced midrange to match its big bass tones. The D-18 works as a strummer, flatpicker, or fingerpicker. When you pickup a genuine Martin D-18 you truly are holding a piece of history. This is a brand new guitar with that comes with a hard shell case and limited lifetime warranty. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions about this guitar! About the Guitar: The STANDARD SERIES is really the foundation of the entire line of Martin guitars. Historically every instrument we build today has evolved, in some degree, from these classic Martin designs, especially the Dreadnought. The large "Dreadnought" sized body, originated by Frank H. Martin and Oliver Hunt in 1916, is the most widely imitated guitar model in the world. Since its introduction in 1931, the Martin D-28 has remained the standard by which all large-bodied, steel-stringed acoustic guitars are measured. Standard Series guitars feature solid wood top, back and sides, polished gloss finish and hand-fit dovetail neck attachment. Specs: The Original Martin Workhorse Dreadnought....
