They are extremely lightweight at only 4.5 lbs, which makes them ideal for the active gigging musician that puts a lot of miles on their instruments. They are also very durable and can take quite a lot of force before the material gives. In addition to being light and tough, the tric cases also provide very stable humidity. This is great for high end instruments that tend to be quite delicate. The material and the tongue-in-groove design make a nearly airtight seal, a feature generally found on very expensive custom cases.
