SOLD Description: 1966 Fender Mustang Competition electric guitar. Cosmetic Condition: Good condition overall with a few minor nicks & dings. Issues: The guitar was originally red & has been professionally refinished white. The neck has also been refinished. The neck pickup is not original & the pickup covers have been changed to Strat style. However, the original pickup covers are included with the guitar. The guitar has been refretted with jumbo frets. Also the trem arm is missing. Weight: 7 lbs 3 oz. Neck: Slender maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & minimal fret wear. 1.63" nut width. Body: Solid body with chrome hardware. The original competition stripes can be seen underneath the white finish. Pickups: Original bridge pickup; changed neck pickup - both in good working condition. Set Up: Professionally set up by our own luthier & strung with brand new Ernie Ball .10-.46 gauge Slinkys. Playability / Sound: Nice, low action; smooth neck - plays great. Cool Mustang tones!
