Unlike the name suggests, this guitar is actually mostly hollow with a heavily chambered mahogany body and authentic vintage style 3 ply laminate maple top. This construction yields the classic Gretsch Jet tone and makes the guitar exceptionally lightweight. The G6121-1955 is a very cool guitar with all the western style flair you could ask for! The Quality and playability are pure Professional Collection Gretsch and the tone from the Dynasonic pickups is extremely full with clean articulate bass and shimmering high's. The bridge pickup is bright and snappy and the neck is quite mellow with a nice bump in the upper low end. We are a long standing fully authorized independent Gretsch guitar dealer.
