33034/17 - Here for sale is the uniquely Gretsch G6121-1959 Chet Atkins Western Solid Body guitar. Unlike the name suggests, this guitar is actually mostly hollow with a heavily chambered mahogany body and authentic vintage style 3 ply laminate maple top. This construction yields the classic Gretsch Jet tone and makes the guitar exceptionally lightweight. The G6121-1959 is basically the solid body version of the G6120-1959LTV. The voice of the guitar is clear and clean with excellent note definition and well defined bass response. The Filter'Tron pickups offer very low noise and sound fantastic clean but handle quite a bit of overdrive as well! This guitar is pure Gretsch quality with top notch fretwork and neck angle providing the perfect playability that the Gretsch Professional Collection is known for.
