SOLD Description: 1964 Gibson Firebird III electric guitar. Cosmetic Condition: Minor nicks & dings; some spider checking on the bottom side. Issues: The guitar has been completely refinished in trans cherry red. The tremolo bridge is missing & the screw holes to hold it have been filled. Large hole in the truss rod cover. Weight: 7 lbs 7 oz. Neck: Wide, flat mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays; no fret wear. Gibson banjo-style tuners. Replaced nut - 1.50" nut width. Body: Neck-thru design with solid mahogany wings & nickel hardware. The pickguard has shrunk a bit & a small piece has broken off. Pickups: Dual Gibson mini humbuckers. Pots date to 1964. Set Up: Professionally set up by our own luthier & strung with brand new Ernie Ball .10-.46 gauge Slinkys before it ships. Playability / Sound: Nice, low action; great playing neck.
