22966/17 Here for sale is the all new MultiOud from Godin. This instrument is quite literally the 1st of its kind. Never before has there been an acoustic electric Oud designed for performance! The MultiOud is build from the framework of the hallmark Multiac line from Godin. It's a deeply chambered mahogany body with a thin braced top and no sound hole. This design, when paired up with a high quality pickup and preamp yields an absolutely outstanding acoustic electric instrument. The tone is clear and bright with a warm woody character and excellent transients and harmonics. Additionally the lack of a traditional soundhole makes the Multiac very resistant to feedback. The MultiOud comes equipped with the Fishman Aura preamp system factory installed. This preamp goes even further to provide a truly authentic acoustic tone from your amplifier or P.A. system. The side mounted preamp also features and onboard Tuner, programmable 3 band EQ and an anti-feedback circuit. Based upon the ancient middle-eastern 11-string instrument called the Oud and inspired by the countless musicians struggling with the issues of tuning and amplifying such an instrument comes the Godin MultiOud.

This new Godin Multiac series addition will allow Oud players to be amplified in loud & live band settings for the first time and without feedback. It features custom voiced electronics with bridge & microphone options via an onboard preamp with built-in tuner. Also, as opposed to previous Oud instruments, the MultiOud is a breeze to tune and keep in tune, thanks to specially engineered machine heads by Godin. Truly a fantastic instrument!
