Description: Vintage Leo 5-String Banjo Condition: Exceptionally clean, great playing example of a Leo banjo. Various small scratches throughout instrument. Neck is in great shape with no play wear on the fingerboard and light string indentation on the frets. Clear drum head has some pick scratches and marks but works and sounds great. Body: 11" diameter head with 24 lugs on a single flange. Solid mahogany pot has dual metal coordinator rods and an angled 20-hole tone ring. Solid double bound mahogany resonator. Neck: 26 ½" scale length mahogany thick rounded neck with bound ebony fingerboard, perloid inlays, a 1 3/16" nut width, and a fifth string tuning machine at the fifth fret. Headstock has fancy perloid inlays with Leo logo, and original tuning machines. Set Up: Professionally set up by our guitar tech with .009 - .030 gauge round wound strings. Weight: 9lbs, 9.5oz. Playability/Sound: Extremely comfortable neck with great action gives this banjo exceptional playability. Large resonator and angled tone ring make this one of the loudest banjos we've had in the shop. Notes ring clean and clear. Case: Includes original hardshell case.
