Description
What makes this guitar special: All original & in really nice shape for its age. The 17 1/2" body provides plenty of room for sound projection, delivering a rich, bright tone with plenty of punch. Professionally inspected by the experts at Cream City Music & set up by our luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's a tiny bit of binding shrinkage here & there, mostly in the waist, but all the binding is intact. Overall the guitar has a wonderful, true vintage look with lots of charm & a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Chunky, soft V-shaped maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl oval inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Open-back nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. The G tuner is slightly bent, but still functions properly. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Double-bound, hollow body archtop with dual F-holes. Solid spruce top in sunburst finish. Frequensator nickel tailpiece with floating rosewood bridge. Large tortoise plexi pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Maple rims & arched back. 17 1/2" lower bout width; 12 3/4" upper bout width; 3 1/2" depth. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 13.7 oz.
Case: Vintage Epiphone hardshell case included. The case shows some wear & tear & has a replaced handle, but is sturdy & serves its purpose well.
