What makes this guitar special: Here's something you don't see often...a very rare 1970's Ernie Ball acoustic. These were made in extremely limited numbers, and sport some very unique characteristics. The back and sides are made of solid walnut, which provide a nice mid-range tone in conjunction with the projection of the solid spruce top. This one was clearly someone's go to for many years, and sports an outrageously cool patina, with a killer vibe to match its killer tone. As with all our pieces, it's been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Well-loved, but with plenty of life ahead of it. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, scuffs, and chips throughout, with visible pickwear, and some light seam separation along the back of the body. The neck shows a ton of visible wear, but nothing that hinders playability, just good honest playwear that outshines even the best relic job. The bass side of the guitar has a notable crack that was amateurly repaired (see photos), but is stable and not going anywhere. The frets show wear consistent with age, but still have a good amount of life left. Overall, this one has the ultimate player's look, with a dynamite vintage patina.
Body: Solid walnut back and sides with solid spruce top in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with ivoroid bridge pins and original wooden pickguard. Lower bout measures 16 1/2" across with 4 5/8" depth. Upper bout measures 12 1/2" across with 4 5/8" depth.

Neck: Rounded bolt-on maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. Most of the finish on the back of the neck has worn away with time, allowing for quick and comfortable maneuvering. Maple fingerboard shows ample sweatstains and wear, but nothing that hinders playability. Headstock sports a wooden truss rod cover, and brown oval logo which housed an "E" logo at some point that has long since been removed (not included). Grover tuners function perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight and plays nicely up and down the length of the fingerboard.
