GRETSCH DAY
Saturday, August 2nd 2008

On Saturday, August 2nd Cream City Music hosted its very first Gretsch Day with special guests Fred Gretsch, president of Gretsch Guitars; Joe Carducci, Gretsch's marketing director & Chet Atkins-style picker, Bobby Gibson.  Bobby dazzled the crowd with his superb playing & later traded licks with local legend, Greg Koch.  The very striking Kim Falcon, who has to be every rockabilly cat’s dream-girl, was on the scene, signing posters & posing for snapshots with customers.  Free gifts were distributed to all in attendance & a Gretsch guitar giveaway was held towards the end of the day, with Fred himself drawing the name of the lucky winner.

One of the highlights of the day was a video history of Gretsch guitars, hosted by Joe Carducci. After viewing this it was easy to understand why heavy hitters from Chet Atkins to George Harrison and Brian Setzer used these iconic instuments to make beautiful music.
Cream City Music is the place, Gretsch is the guitar, so stop down and let us put one in your hands and see if you don’t fall in love with it immediately!
