| Finger Style guitarist extraordinaire and Martin Guitar endorsee, Laurence Juber, will be visiting Cream City Music once more on October 29th. This time the visit will be a little more structured, as he will be presenting a clinic sponsored by Martin Guitars. Here is a chance to learn a thing or two from one of the better guitarists around. He came in last spring before his gig at Shank Hall and made a great impression. Here is the story from that visit: Juber Plays Juber! Laurence Juber, who stood shoulder to shoulder with the great Sir Paul McCartney as the last guitar player in Wings, stopped in for a visit Friday June 19th. He let us know he was massively impressed with the store, our layout, selection, and especially, the Laurence Juber model Martin Guitar. Shown here warming up for his gig at Shank Hall, Laurence is basically conducting a private clinic for the staff here. A bright and cheerful expatriate who now calls L.A. home, he plays upwards of 60 dates a year and stays busy with sessions in his adopted home. His advice to young pickers, "Find the best guitar you can, one that you can play for the next 30 years and practice all the time." We might have that guitar, stop in and see us! Some people you don't have to ask to smile for the camera. Here Laurence Juber plays a Martin Laurence Juber signature model, which was designed and made to his specs. It is a beautiful guitar and even more so when he is playing it!  After the grand tour, Laurence sat for a while while the staff shutterbug captured him. He is surrounded by, left-to-right, Kim Allen, our newest team member, John Majdalani, vintage specialst and Ben Derickson, who manages the Martin brand here at the store. |
