Cosmetic Condition: Super cool vintage vibe & free of any cracks! This gorgeous guitar plays & sounds amazing, displaying those classic J-45 features - slope shoulders & 3-tone sunburst finish. Overall the guitar is in great shape for its age & has just the right look to it - there are various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. It has been professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action. Big, boomy tone with great sustain & resonance!
Neck: Nicely rounded, semi-chunky mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. The guitar was professionally refretted with bigger frets which currently show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. There was some pitting in the fingerboard from years of play. The pitting was mostly in the first few frets & has been professionally filled in, so the fingerboard is now smooth with no playability issues. We removed the original Kluson Deluxe tuners because the buttons have gotten to that very delicate state where they could start to crumble. We replaced them with proper reissue tuners & the original Klusons are of course included with the guitar. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, slope shoulder dreadnought finished in 3-tone sunburst. Solid spruce top with rosewood bridge & original adjustable saddle. Tortoise pickguard & 3-ply rosette. Beautiful mahogany sides & back with very light buckle rash. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 5 oz.
Case: Vintage Ess & Ess hardshell case included. The case is also in great shape with faux alligator tolex & plush gold interior.
