What makes this guitar special: A fantastic playing ’59-factory order number S1023-35. The chunky ’59 neck is comfortable as can be, especially in tandem with the silky smooth Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The crisp and clear sound of the P90 in the center position can transcend everything from Jazz to Rock & Roll, with a pleasing and resonant full-hollow body design. The center position also rests on a natural harmonic, which can result in some beautiful overtones. Cosmetic condition: This one was obviously someone’s go-to, and showcases plenty of wear consistent with the age of the instrument. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs are present, with areas of finish wear and visible buckle rash on the back of the guitar. There is visible weather checking throughout much of the body and neck, and the back of the neck shows a handful of chips & dings in the finish as well. There is also visible oxidation on much of the hardware, and frets show wear consistent with age.
Body: Double bound maple hollow body with dual f-holes in sunburst finish. 5-ply black pickguard, Tune-O-Matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece.

Neck: Chunky rounded mahogany neck with black side dots and pearl dot inlays. Bound Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape, and frets show wear consistent with age (but still have life in them). 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with aged pearl Gibson logo. Kluson Deluxe tuners work normally. Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.
Electronics: Single P90 in center position (8.20k ohms) with adjustable volume & tone.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
