Description
What makes this guitar special: All original with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe. This gorgeous thin hollow body offers a warm, woody tone along with a beautiful, natural acoustic resonance that just can't be matched. Super silky neck with smooth action up & down the fretboard. The double P-90's sound absolutely fabulous, delivering rich, creamy tones & sustain that seems to last forever. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so she's guaranteed to please straight out of the case - don't miss out on this beauty, she won't be around very long!
Cosmetic Condition: It has that perfect, naturally aged, authentic vintage look we've all come to love - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking, buckle rash & some finish wear - in short, it's all good, honest play wear folks. The tailpiece was broken when we acquired the guitar, so we had it professionally braised. The work was well done & the tailpiece is stronger than ever. The previous owner had painted the pickup covers gold for some reason. It happened quite a long time ago, as a lot of the paint has chipped off over the years & you can clearly see the original black covers. Overall the guitar has a really great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender, flatter profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners with cream buttons in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with dual F-holes. The back shows off some really gorgeous flame figuring by the way. Trapeze tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. 5-ply black pickguard has warped a bit over the years & shows some pick wear, but no cracks or breaks. There's some heavy checking in the back, near the bass-side waist & a few spots where the finish has chipped away. Again, this all lends to the true vintage charm & character of the guitar. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 11.2 oz - great weight!
Pickups: Original P-90 single coils with black "dog ear" covers. Bridge - 8.38K ohms; Neck - 8.12K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. The bridge volume knob is missing its silver insert. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
