Description
A vintage 1962 Gretsch 6160 Electromatic "Chet Atkins" 2x12 tube combo amp in exceptional cosmetic condition. This rare amp is extremely clean, including the fully-intact plastic "Gretsch" and "Chet Atkins" logos. One of the few vintage Gretsch amps with giggable power, the 2x12 6160 has a big sound but is still light enough that you won't have to hire a road crew to move it. It features a nice, thick clean tone that turns into a rich overdrive as you turn up the gain, reminiscent of a narrow panel-era tweed Fender with a bit more clean headroom. It also features an amazing, all-tube tremolo that you will have to hear to believe. This amp has been cleaned and serviced with brand new filter caps and a new pair of Groove Tubes 6L6-GE power tubes. It is fully functional and sounds awesome absolutely fantastic.
