Description
What makes this guitar special: All original with a bright, rich tone & thanks to a pro set up by our luthier, the guitar offers excellent playability as well. The small body is very comfortable to play & the action is perfect up & down the fretboard. The sound really sparkles & the guitar is such a joy to play.
Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape for a 50-year old guitar, but there are signs of age & light play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some light finish wear. There's some more pronounced chips in the finish along the lower bout, treble side of the body as well as some minor chatter marks on either side of the fingerboard along the first few frets. There are no cracks. Overall the guitar has a wonderful, true vintage look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, wide mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons in perfect working condition. 2" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning. An after-market strap button was added to the treble side of the neck.
Body: Solid spruce top in sunburst finish with 3-ply cream binding. Rosewood bridge with adjustable rosewood saddle & cream end pins. Tortoise plexi pickguard & 3-ply rosette. Mahogany sides & back with cream binding. 14 1/2" lower bout width; 11" upper bout width; 4 3/4" depth. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 4.3 oz. There is no pickup.
Case: Vintage black chipboard case with brown interior. Case is in great shape.
