Description
Cosmetic Condition: A truly amazing sounding J-50 that is 100% crack free! This gorgeous guitar has awesome power with a sweet resonance, well-balanced tone & remarkable sustain. The only drawback in my opinion is the narrow nut width. Cosmetically the guitar is in great shape for its age - various minor nicks & dings throughout with lots of weather checking & surface scratches. There are a few larger chips in the top & back of the body, but nothing too serious. Overall the guitar has a spectacular look & feel with that cool vintage vibe we've all come to love & desire. Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, this beauty is sure to please & guaranteed to deliver the goods. Don't miss out - this one won't last long! Craig if you're paying attention, I'm talking to you.
Neck: Slender mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. There's some very minor pitting in the fingerboard in the first few frets, but not enough to affect playability. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Round shoulder dreadnought in natural finish. Solid spruce top with 3-ply binding; tortoise pickguard & multi-layered rosette. The original adjustable bridge & saddled were removed & replaced with a more conventional rosewood bridge & compensated bone saddle. However, the original bridge & ADJ saddle are included with the guitar. Mahogany back & sides with single-ply binding. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 5 oz.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included.
