Description
Condition: This guitar is in great shape for its age. Various surface scratches, small nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument give it some nice character. Original frets show moderate play wear and have plenty of life left in them. The neck is very straight and the truss rod does not have a huge range of motion, but functions fine. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition. A sticker on the neck plate that likely had the serial number has mostly worn off.
Body: Solid double cutaway body in black finish. Nickel vibrato tailpiece with individually adjustable plastic saddles and a single-ply white pickguard with “E” logo. Four top hat style control knobs with silver inserts are mounted to the pickguard.
Neck: Slender maple neck with ivoroid binding. The binding has developed a nice patina. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Bound headstock features a pearloid Epiphone logo and nickel tuners. 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: New Yorker humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 6.21K Ohms.
Bridge: 11.95K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 12.0oz.
Playability/Sound: The humbnuckers have a great overall presence and high end chime. They can produce anything from a beautiful clean tone to a thick overdrive with great note definition and clarity. The slender neck is exceptionally comfortable and allows for fast and easy playability.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
