Description
What makes this bass special: This bass has that well-worn & road-tested look that vintage aficionados really go for. This is not a relic; this is the real deal. A true vintage, American made Tele Bass with a great vibe that plays & sounds amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: This baby has been through the ringer with lots of wear & tear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There are few small cracks in the pickguard & the hardware has tarnished.
Neck: Maple neck with skunk stripe & black side dots. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Tele style headstock with bullet truss rod & single round string tree. Original Fender tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp date reads 23 APR 72 B.
Body: Solid ash body in natural finish. String-thru bridge with two adjustable barrel saddles. Bridge cover is missing. 3-ply white pickguard has aged into a mellow cream color. Bass weighs 10.65 lbs.
Pickup: Original Fender Tele Bass humbucker with great output! Master volume & tone controls with original knurled knobs. The tone pot was replaced, but the original is included with the bass. We got a reading on the pot, but the cap may be shot. The volume pot is original & dates to '72. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
