Description
What makes this guitar special: A rare gem! This Swedish-made beauty sounds absolutely killer, loaded with a full sounding set of humbucking pickups and a chunky mahogany neck with a slick ebony fingerboard. The serial on this one dates it to batch 827, which started in ’72 and finished in ’73-the production number is only 015, meaning it was manufactured early on in the run. Professional setup is included, so all you have to worry about is tuning it!
Cosmetic condition: This one has been played, but still has a lot of life left in it. It showcases plenty of typical playwear with various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs. The fingerboard edges show some shrinking, but nothing that hinders playability, and there is visible weather checking throughout. The back of the body showcases some expected buckle rash, and the back of the neck has some chips and dings consistent with someone playing with a ring on. The back of one of the tuners is missing as well, and there is a large chip in the wood on the treble side of the neck behind the 2nd fret. The underside of the headstock shows some cracking in the finish, but this does not penetrate the wood. Overall, this one has a killer vibe to it, with a gorgeous patina.
Body: Solid mahogany body with bound mahogany top in cherry finish. Conmpensated bridge with individually adjustable saddles and fixed stopbar tailpiece. Black pickup bezels & control knobs.
Weight: 10 lb, 12.5 oz
Neck: Chunky mahogany neck with white side dashes and pearl block inlays. Ebony fingerboard is in great shape, and while frets show some wear, they still have life left in them. Pearl bound headstock with pearl Hagstrom logo and Fleur de Lis. Original Hagstrom tuners work great. Neck is straight and truss rod functions.
Electronics: Dual humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector switch, 3-way tone selector switch and black witch hat knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume.
