Description
Condition: This is an excellent player’s grade vintage Bronco with some highly useful modifications. Large areas of the top, sides and back of the finish have been sanded down leaving marks and some unevenness in the finish. The neck pickup cavity has been routed to accommodate the Fralin pickup. Volume pot, bridge pickup and pickguard have been replaced. The silver inserts on the control knobs have been painted red to match the body. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier play wear towards the lower registers. The neck is mostly straight and the truss rod functions fine. Tuners are unoriginal and some original marks and screw holes are still visible. The back of the headstock has been partially refinished and over-sprayed. This is very difficult to see and does not affect playability. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in red finish. Top-load vibrato tailpiece with trem arm and six individual saddles. The screw that secures the trem arm is missing but the arm stays in place fairly well. 4-ply pearloid pickguard with dual skirted control knobs with “F” logo inserts painted red.
Neck: Slender maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Vintage style nickel tuners, 24” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Lindy Fralin single-coil in the neck and a single coil in the bridge. Master volume control with push/pull pot for selecting between the neck and bridge pickups and a master tone control.
Neck: 5.66K Ohms.
Bridge: 5.37K Ohms.

Playability/Sound: This is a great playing vintage Bronco that sounds excellent thanks to the electronics modifications. The Fralin pickup in the neck is a great combination with the Fender pickup in the bridge and gives this guitar a nice range of sound. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and suitable for virtually any playing style.
