Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & play wear. The previous owner scratched his name & social security number into the neck plate. The guitar has been professionally refretted with medium jumbos that feel great & make the guitar much more playable than the original small frets these guitars typically came with. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with skunk stripe & black side-dots. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Unoriginal medium jumbo frets in great shape with no wear. Bullet truss rod with double string trees. Unoriginal, modern Fender logo tuners in perfect working condition. The guitar had different tuners on it at one time & the holes were routed for the slightly larger tuners. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid ash body in natural finish with 3-ply black pickguard. String-thru bridge with three adjustable barrel saddles. Bridge cover is missing. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 4 oz.
Pickups: Original Wide Range neck humbucker - 10.34K ohms. Original bridge single coil - 7.90K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with "witch hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. One pot dates to '73, one to '75 & two date to '88. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Playability / Sound: Nice, low action - neck feels & plays great. The bigger frets really make a difference! Beautiful, dynamic tone with wonderful depth & resonance.
