Description
What makes this guitar special: A beautiful mid-70’s model with a booming low end, and terrific resonance. This one is a pleasure to play, with great action and a super comfortable neck feel. It’s in great shape for its age, too! It’s been professionally setup by our expert in-house luthier for maximum playability, and will arrive ready to play. All you gotta do is tune it!
Cosmetic condition: Pretty good shape for its age, with expected playwear throughout. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, scuffs, and areas of finish wear throughout, with a good amount of visible weather checking. This was obviously someone’s go-to for a long time, and the back shows plenty of scratching and buckle rash. The neck has been reset, and as a result there is some finish wear around the neck joint. The fingerboard has also been refretted, and frets show very little wear.
Body: Square shouldered dreadnought with double bound solid mahogany back and sides. Solid spruce top with beautifully highlighted woodgrain, figured hummingbird pickguard, and mutli ring ivoroid/black rosette. Rosewood bridge with black bridge pins, and plenty of room left on the saddle. Lower bout width measures 16”, with 5” depth. Upper bout width measures 11 3/4” with 4” depth.
Weight: 4 lb, 14 oz
Neck: Medium profile C-shaped mahogany neck with black side dots and pearl block inlays. Double bound rosewood fingerboard. Frets are in really good shape with a lot of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with gold Gibson logo and crown. Chrome sealed Gibson tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod works fine.
Case: Original hard shell case included. The handle on the case is broken, but included inside.
