Description

What makes this guitar special: A very unique piece, built in the early days of US Kramer manufacturing, with a great fit & finish and a stellar design. The aluminum neck construction in tandem with the exotic hardwood body affords brilliant resonance, with a very unique tonal character. A previous owner swapped out the stock pickups for a set of high-gain DiMarzios as well, which play very nicely with the natural resonance and allows you to play with feedback and natural harmonics in a way that is very unique. Professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, this piece will arrive ready to play.

Cosmetic condition: Used but not abused, with some good honest wear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, and scuffs present, with visible buckle rash on the back of the body. A previous owner swapped the stock pickups for DiMarzios, and the pickup cavities were routed to accommodate them. A previous owner also retrofitted a metal plate to match the back plates, and holes were drilled in the top for mounting. We have since removed the plate (it is included along with the mounting screws if you want to put it back on) but the screw holes are visible. Because the neck is made of aluminum and has no adjustable truss rod, it has a propensity toward some slight fret buzz based on temperature fluctuation, but this is minimal.

Body: Solid exotic hardwood body with top-loading six-saddle bridge.

Weight: 11 lb, 2.4 oz

Neck: Aluminum/rosewood neck with C-profile, pearl side dots, and pearl dot inlays. Ebony fingerboard is in great shape, and while frets show wear consistent with age, they still have life in them. 1 11/16” nut width with zero fret, 25 1/2" scale length. U-shaped aluminum headstock with Schaller tuners in perfect working order. Neck is straight and plays nicely up & down the length of the fingerboard.

Electronics: Replacement DiMarzio humbuckers (Neck-13.09k ohms, Bridge-12.55k ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and black speed knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
