Description
What makes this guitar special: Wildly durable and absolutely loaded with premium features, these early Stingray models are increasingly hard to come by. The high-output humbuckers sound absolutely stunning, with terrific versatility thanks to the 4-way switching system and brightness switch. The 4-way switch allows you to ping-pong between individual pickups and in and out of phase settings, which makes this guitar about as dynamic as they come. It’s been professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play right out of the box.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with some typical signs of playwear and usage throughout. Various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, and scuffs throughout, with some pickwear on the pickguard and a single chip in the finish on the back of the neck. Cosmetically, this guitar is an 8/10.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body in sunburst finish with 3-ply black pickguard and chrome-sealed brass bridge with individually adjustable saddles.
Weight: 10 lb, 8 oz
Neck: D-shaped maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck dates to ’77, as does neck pocket. Neck is straight and plays great up and down the length of the fingerboard.
Electronics: Original high-output humbuckers (Neck-23.93K ohms, Bridge-23.62K ohms) with 4-way selector switch, brightness switch, and knurled chrome knobs, 2x EQ, 1x volume. Pots date to ’77, ’78, and ’79.
