Description
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage beauty with some nice mods that have turned it more into a player's grade guitar. The original mini humbuckers were replaced with full size DiMarzios each with its own coil switch & the original tuners were replaced with gold Grovers. Overall the guitar is in fairly good condition, however, there is a minor crack in the very top of the headstock, bass-side flange, near the D tuner. The crack is stable with no issues other than cosmetic. The rest of the guitar shows signs of play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & buckle rash. The guitar has a great vibe to it with that unique '70s feel. It's been professionally set up by us with a fresh pack of strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Grover tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with plain maple top & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & adjustable bridge with chrome hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard is in good shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 10.7 lbs.
Pickups: Unoriginal DiMarzio humbuckers with cream bezels. Bridge - 13.01K ohms; Neck - 13.27K ohms. Each pickup has its own mini switch for coil tapping. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs, although the neck pickup tone knob is missing its silver insert. All electronics are in perfect working condition. Pots date to '78.
Case: Original hardshell case included, although one of the clasps is broken.
